WENDY GIBSON-BROWN ~ CARICATURES Wendy Gibson-Brown studied at Sunderland art college, graduating in 1983 with B.A. (Honours) in Fine Art. After leaving college she embarked on a career as a freelance artist with a commission from the Maritime Trust to produce a limited edition of 100 individual sculptures. As a specialist in portaiture, she has undertaken many celebrity commissions and written art features for several national magazine publications; she has also taught fine art for the past 15 years. Wendy's recent work is based on "people watching" and aims to capture the ironic humour of everyday folk at work or leisure. Her first series of colourful and humorous limited editions are based on a day at the races. Each print is limited to an edition of 295, individually signed and numbered by the artist, and is presented in a high quality single mount. Personalised Caricatures and Original Paintings An original pen and wash painting by Wendy Gibson-Brown can be purchased or commissioned. The works are generally of stereotypical characters, but personalised caricature scenes can be undertaken if requested. The original pen and wash pictures are painted using the finest artist-quality materials on 300gsm Arches Hot Pressed watercolour paper, which has superb archival quality.
